Meeting with the General Prosecutor's Office

The Business Ombudsman of the Kyrgyz Republic, Robin Ord-Smith, conducted a meeting with the representatives of the General Prosecutor's Office of the Kyrgyz Republic. During the meeting, issues of mutual cooperation, measures, and efforts to protect the rights, freedoms, and legitimate interests of entrepreneurs were discussed. The Business Ombudsman presented the mission and role of the Business Ombudsman Institute in protecting the rights, freedoms, and legitimate interests of the business entities and entrepreneurs through investigating and addressing complaints from entrepreneurs against actions, inaction, and decisions of the state authorities. The Deputy Prosecutor General of the Kyrgyz Republic, Mr. Dyushembiev N., presented the work of the Prosecutor General's Office in 2019 and 2020 on the facts of unjustified interference of the state bodies in the activities of business entities. He also mentioned the creation of the special department in the structure of the General Prosecutor's Office that oversees the rights of entrepreneurs and investor protection. The parties came to the conclusion on the joint cooperation and effort needed to protect the rights and legitimate interests of business entities
