Meeting with the business associations

The Business Ombudsman of the Kyrgyz Republic, Mr. Robin Ord-Smith participated in a joint meeting of the members of the National Business Club and the National Alliance of the Business Associations, dedicated to the protection of rights and legitimate interests of the entrepreneurs and business entities. The Business Ombudsman presented his role and mandate, types of complaints considered, criteria of the complaints eligible for investigations, and ways to file them. The Business Ombudsman protects the rights, freedoms, and legitimate interests of the business entities and entrepreneurs through investigations of the complaints against actions, decisions, and inaction of the state agencies, local authorities, state-owned enterprises, and their officials. Complaints are reviewed and investigated on a free-of-charge basis. The meeting was also attended by the Deputy General Prosecutor, representatives of the Entrepreneurs and Investors Protection Department of the General Prosecutor's Office of the Kyrgyz Republic, the Ministry of Economy, Investment Protection and Attraction Agency of the Kyrgyz Republic
