On-line session with the members of the American Chamber of Commerce

The Business Ombudsman of the Kyrgyz Republic Mr. Robin Ord-Smith conducted an on-line session with the members of the American Chamber of Commerce in the Kyrgyz Republic and its partners. The discussion was dedicated to the challenges and difficulties businesses face during the pandemic and economic recession. In the course of the open dialogue, entrepreneurs raised their concerns regarding access to financing, actions of the General Prosecutor's Office, legislative contradictions and lapses, tax issues, and tax administration gaps. The Business Ombudsman presented his role and mandate, BOI activities during the pandemic, criteria of complaints against actions of the state bodies, local governments, public enterprises, and their officials investigated by the Business Ombudsman
